Payroll Pal is easy to use. In the drop-down menus, the user simply enters the employee’s stated number of dependants, earnings info, marital status, and pay frequency. Then Payroll Pall automatically calculates the correct amounts to withhold for United States Federal Taxes, Social Security, and Medicare.

Using Payroll Pal, employee withholding scenarios are easily editable. For example, if your employee wanted to see the withholding dollar amount difference between different withholding scenarios (for example: claiming 3 dependants instead of 2), you can actually show your employee the different withholding scenarios 'live' as you both watch the computer screen so that a more educated decision is able to be made.

Newly added feature! An advanced Time Clock Calculator is now included in Payroll Pal. This new feature allows for pay periods of 1-32 days, and allows for unpaid lunch times (if applicable), and unpaid off-clock/off-site hours (if applicable). Enter the beginning date of the pay period, then use the drop-down menus to select the pay period length, the clock-in/clock-out times, lunch times, and off-site times...or enter the times manually if preferred. Print the hours for a hard copy, or save it on the computer for and archived record of employee hours. This new feature is truly a great time saver over calculating employee work hours manually!

This complete payroll program allows for virtually all possible pay situations. The user can choose from multiple pre-programmed types of pay including:

Then specify the number of claimed dependents, and choose from various tax-payer filing statuses including:

And finally, choose from various pay frequency scenarios including:

  • Weekly

  • Monthly
  • Quarterly
  • SemiAnnually
  • Annually
  • Daily/Miscellaneous

Then simply enter the gross pay amount for the pay period, print or save the employer copy for reference, and print the professionally formatted employee copy for the employee's pay record.

Payroll Pal is a Microsoft Excel-based program. Microsoft Excel 97 or greater is required to run this program (Excel 2002 or greater is recommended). Microsoft Excel is not included with Payroll Pal.
